Welcome to Venus Self Defence, the site for womens self defence in Glasgow.

 We're based in Glasgow, Scotland and provide training especially for women so that they can have the ability to control difficult situations, whether out at a club, domestically or in the course of their everyday lives.

Taught by women for women. 

What We Do

Our aim is to provide first class training to enable women to avoid and if neccessary have the ability to take control of tricky situations.

Classes consist of self awareness sessions and practical self defence - it's better not to have to use physical self defence techniques in the first place !

Our seminars are available as one-to-one sessions for individuals or for groups of up to 20 people.

We also have regular classes scheduled around the Glasgow area.

I joined the class because I wanted to be prepared. Just in case…It was a good decision!

Catherine has taught us already a number of techniques for different situations, some of them fairly simple but amazingly efficient. And there is also the psychological side to it. Knowing a few little ‘tricks’ makes you feel good.

I always leave the class energised even when I arrive there tired after work. Despite the serious issue the class is also good fun.
